Deep Clean - car valeting and detailing in Cavan
Why it matters

Where the extra hours actually go.

Claying is the step that makes the difference you can feel. Run your hand over your paintwork after a wash and it still feels gritty — that’s bonded contamination the wash can’t lift. Clay pulls it out, and only then will a polish do anything meaningful. Skip it and you’re polishing dirt into your clear coat.

The rest is the detail work: roof lining, seat belts, engine bay. None of it is what sells the service, and all of it is what people notice afterwards. This is the one to book before a wedding, before selling, or when you just want the car back the way it was.

The process

How we work.

01

Full Deep Clean first

Everything in the standard service happens before we go further.

02

Decontaminate paint

Iron fallout removal and a full clay treatment across every panel.

03

Polish & protect

Gloss enhancement polish, then a durable sealant to lock it in.

04

Detail work

Roof lining, belts, engine bay and trim — then a walkaround together.

Questions

Good to know.

Usually 6-8, sometimes longer on larger or heavily neglected vehicles. We’d rather block out the time properly than rush the polishing stage.

No. The gloss enhancement polish here improves clarity and depth, but it won’t remove deeper swirl marks or scratches. If your paint has visible defects, look at our paint correction service instead.

Yes. Engine bay detailing is generally safe when carried out correctly, and we take care to use appropriate products and controlled cleaning methods around sensitive components. However, engine bays contain electrical components, wiring, sensors, connectors and other sensitive equipment, and there is always an inherent risk when introducing moisture into these areas. Some vulnerabilities, such as damaged wiring, deteriorated seals, existing electrical faults or other hidden defects, may not be visible before or during the detail. By requesting an engine bay detail, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with cleaning the engine bay and understand that Kevs Detailing cannot guarantee against faults or damage resulting from pre-existing, hidden or vulnerable components within the vehicle. We will always take reasonable care and avoid unnecessarily directing water or cleaning products at sensitive areas. If we identify anything that appears particularly vulnerable or unsafe, we may avoid that area or decline to carry out the engine bay detail. If you are not comfortable accepting these inherent risks, we recommend choosing an exterior detail without engine bay cleaning.

The sealant typically holds three to six months depending on mileage and storage. For genuinely long-term protection, a ceramic coating is the better route.

Absolutely — and it’s the ideal time to do it, since the paint is already fully prepared. Just mention it when you’re getting your quote.
